Workplace Safety and Health Act
To support the new WSH framework, the Workplace
Safety and Health Act (WSHA) was enacted on March 1,
2006. The WSHA replaced the factories act and was
developed based on feedback received through extensive
consultation with the industry and unions.
Our Professional Training Institutions
Armstrong Health & Safety Training Providers (AHSTP)
play an active role in supporting WSH efforts through
the provisions of continuing education, promotion and
safety training to our course participants.
AHSTP will work closely with the industry, MOM and the
council to integrate WSH into safety training syllabuses
of relevant courses, such as Risk Management, safety
behavior. AHSTP will also spearhead research into other
relevant WSH areas, in partnership with the Council and
MOM.
